Services & Treatments

What happens during a first consultation?

Unlike rushed conventional appointments that often last less than 15 minutes and barely scratch the surface of your health concerns, our first consultation is a truly immersive, personalized experience. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to be heard and understood in detail, as we dedicate generous time to uncovering the unique aspects of your health, lifestyle, and wellness goals. During this extended consultation, we go beyond basic checklists to provide comprehensive assessments, holistic guidance, and actionable strategies that set the stage for lasting transformation.

An Integrative Medicine consult with Dr. Pai typically lasts 90-120 minutes depending on your health conditions. He will review your complete health history including labs, scans, current concerns, lifestyle, diet, stress levels, and health goals. Based on his assessment and clinical experience, he may recommend additional conventional testing (if needed) along with his specialty areas of investigating inflammatory triggers in diet, microbiome dysfunctions, nutritional deficiencies and toxicities, etc.  He may also recommend patented and clinically effective natural therapies (if needed) in addition to dietary and lifestyle changes to start with first.

An Ayurvedic Medicine consultation with Dr. Maureen Sutton is a 60-90 minute session. You’ll experience the fascinating art of pulse diagnosis, tongue analysis, and a thorough Ayurvedic evaluation—each tailored to reveal your unique dosha and health blueprint. Dr. Sutton will explore your medical history, weaving ancient wisdom with modern knowledge to create a personalized treatment plan including diet and lifestyle just for you. You'll leave feeling empowered, inspired, and rejuvenated.

What is Panchakarma and how long does it take?

Panchakarma is a traditional Ayurvedic detoxification and rejuvenation program. A  program typically runs 5 days depending on your needs and goals. It includes three phases: preparation (oil massage and steam therapy), main cleansing (therapeutic procedures), and rejuvenation (nourishing practices). We'll customize the program length and intensity based on your constitution and health objectives.  Try out our 1 day sampler.

What is flotation therapy and who is it good for?

Imagine stepping into a serene oasis where stress melts away and your mind drifts into deep relaxation. Flotation therapy offers a unique, rejuvenating experience—floating effortlessly in a saltwater pod, you disconnect from distractions and discover a profound sense of calm. It’s ideal for anyone seeking stress relief, sleep support, mental clarity, pain relief, muscle recovery, or simply a peaceful escape. Whether you’re an athlete, a busy professional, or someone craving relaxation, float therapy invites you to recharge, reset, and emerge feeling lighter, refreshed, and inspired.

Flotation therapy (REST Pod) involves floating in body-temperature water saturated with Epsom salt in a sensory-reduced environment. Imagine floating and being buoyant in 10 inches of water that is saturated with 1,200 lbs of Epsom salt.  It's excellent for stress relief, chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia, muscle recovery, and creative enhancement. Sessions typically last 90 minutes with 60 minutes of floating and 15 minutes pre and post showering time. It's safe for most people, though we don't recommend it during pregnancy or for those with certain medical conditions like infections or wounds.

Do you offer nutritional counseling without medical treatment?

Yes! Dr. Maureen Sutton, our certified plant-based nutritionist, offers standalone nutritional counseling, shopping trips and cooking classes. These sessions focus on personalized meal planning, healthy eating strategies, cooking skills, and lifestyle nutrition education. Focusing on plant based anti-inflammatory foods for all health conditions and working with those who have food sensitivities and allergy rotation diets– Maureen can provide you easy tips on starting your food as medicine journey. You don't need to be a medical patient to benefit from our nutrition services.

What is Kloud PEMF/PEMA and LEO HEMF therapy and what does it help?

Sanjevani has been a leader in using PEMF wellness technologies over 12 years.  We have 2 technologies that are unique to our practice and patient services.  Our first technology is the Kloud.  It is a PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field or more specifically a PEMA Pulsed Electromagnetic Activation) therapy that provides 50x more molecular activation than other products on the market.  It uses specific patented pulsed electromagnetic waves to stimulate cellular healing and enhance microcirculation. It's effective for providing relief for chronic pain, inflammation, bone healing, fatigue, depression, and recovery from injury or surgery.   One 15 minute session provides physical benefits for up to 12 hours (unlike other technologies that stop when the session is over).

The second technology is the LEO – Life Energy Optimizer.  It is a high intensity patented PEMF therapy that increases muscle strength and tone.  This is helpful for those with pelvic floor issues or need of improving strength of muscle groups like abdominal muscles, quads and biceps. Also aids in recovery of back, hip, shoulder and knee pain.

Both sessions are non-invasive, painless, and typically last 15 - 30 minutes. Many patients notice improvements immediately and the benefits continue to increase after each session.

What is Neuro-Acupuncture, Acupuncture and Auriculotherapy?

Acupuncture is an ancient practice that utilizes fine needles to stimulate specific points on the body, promoting natural healing, pain relief, and balance. Neuro-acupuncture is a specialty in acupuncture that focuses on targeting the nervous system, often used for neurological conditions like MS, neuropathic pain, anxiety, depression and stroke recovery. Auriculotherapy is a specialized technique that involves stimulating points on the ear to address issues such as allergies, addiction, and anxiety. What makes our practice truly distinctive is Dr. Pai’s expertise—he is an MD uniquely trained in these advanced forms of acupuncture. His integrated approach combines medical knowledge with holistic techniques, offering patients enhanced benefits such as improved pain management, mental clarity, and overall wellness. Dr. Pai’s skill in multiple acupuncture modalities ensures a personalized and effective treatment tailored to each patient’s needs. In addition to using different types of acupuncture needles (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, microdermal), he also uses micro frequencies and lasers to provide a fully Integrative approach to these types of treatment.

What is SAAT (Solimans Allergy Auriculotherapy Treatment), Subliingual Immunotherapy SLIT – (Allergy Drops TherapyTM)?

SAAT and SLIT are allergy treatments for environmental and food allergies. SAAT uses microdermal needles placed in the ear for three weeks and typically leads to an 80% reduction in symptoms for up to six years. Dr. Pai was trained by Dr. Soliman in 2016.

If SAAT isn’t effective or a permanent solution is desired, SLIT (Allergy Drops TherapyTM) offers a safer, clinically proven alternative; after blood tests identify allergens, custom drops are taken daily under the tongue for 3-4 years to build tolerance. Dr. Pai is one of the longest SLIT providers in NM for over 20 years.

For those seeking an alternative to prescription or OTC allergy medicines, try our best-selling natural allergy support supplement, Histaplus, is available at sanejvanistore.com.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance and are opted out of Medicare; we operate as a fee-for-service center. This model allows us to devote ample time to your appointment, thoroughly review your medical history, laboratory results, and medications or supplements, and offer comprehensive Integrative Medicine services using evidence-based methods independent of insurance algorithm and requirements, accountants, or pharmaceutical companies. In over 26 years of practicing in this manner, we have observed superior outcomes for our patients. Additionally, most routine laboratory tests required for general medical care are typically covered by insurance, and we offer competitive cash-based pricing for functional and integrative medicine tests, as well as for patients without insurance coverage.

How much does a consultation cost?

Please contact our friendly Sanjevani Care Team for details on our services and pricing.

Preparation & What to Expect

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please complete your medical questionnaire forms, including Biocanic forms. Bring a list of your current medications and supplements (you may also bring the actual items), any recent lab results or medical records that should be sent before your appointment, as well as a list of your health concerns and questions. For a regular consultation, no fasting is required. Eat normally. However, if blood work or specific tests are ordered, we may ask you to fast for 8-12 hours before testing. We'll provide specific instructions when scheduling any tests that require fasting.

What should I wear to bodywork or massage appointments?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.

How should I prepare for flotation therapy?

Don't consume caffeine within 4 hours of your session. Avoid shaving on float day, as salt will cause irritation. Can not be on menstrual cycle or pregnant. Eat a few hours before. First-time floaters should arrive 15 minutes early for orientation. Do not consume any drug or alcohol prior to session.

How long before I see results from treatment?

Results vary depending on your condition and treatment plan. Some patients notice improvements instantly (Massage, Neuro-Acupuncture, Kloud, LEO) and within days, while chronic conditions may take weeks or months to resolve. We typically reassess progress every 2 week to 3 months and adjust your treatment plan accordingly. Compliance and consistency with recommendations is key to achieving optimal results.

Are your treatments safe during pregnancy?

Many of our services can be safely modified for pregnancy, including prenatal massage, gentle yoga, certain nutritional counseling, and modified herbal protocols. However, some treatments like Panchakarma and flotation therapy are not recommended during pregnancy. Always inform us if you're pregnant or trying to conceive so we can tailor treatments appropriately.
